“I have so much respect for tradition that I found myself playing with it”
For some, tradition is loyalty. Absolute, untouchable.
For me, tradition is a solid base, a starting point.
… That’s why, in chatting with Luciano Brotto, I found myself wanting to try to change an eau de vie into Vodka by blending the features that I personally value the most: the drinkability of Vodka and the gentle pleasantness of an eau de vie/ That’s how O de V came about, the result of curiosity, different traditions and a lot of technical skill, “playing” with distilling Vodka starting from wine and grapes. The result is the most elegant and pleasant Vodka that I’ve ever tasted. P.S.: unlike other types of distillate, “Vodka” is not bound to the traditional materials by definition (grains in Russia and potatoes in Poland).
